PARK HYATT HOTEL, SHENZHEN| GARDEN PAVILION CHINESE RESTAURANT
Yabu Pushelberg | Project Leader and Design Lead

The restaurant tells a story about a scholar returning to his Chinese courtyard mansion and reminiscing in the tranquil gardens. Rhythmic louvered pavilions nestle in a manicured landscape and creates a meandering garden-like path to stroll around. From afar, the wooden structures glow like lanterns at night and transform the overall garden into an enchanting space. Guests enjoy regional Cantonese cuisine in this oasis surrounded by panoramic views of the city. Each private dining room uses hand painted silk screens to add to the romance and intimacy.

Role: Lead designer to space plan, design, render by hand, produce drawing sets and coordinate with artist, landscape designer, and consultants to construct the Garden Pavilion.
