LUXURY HOTEL, NEW YORK
Collaboration with Yabu Pushelberg | Project Leader and Design Lead

This new construction hotel was inspired by its flower district location. Guests walk through a flower shop to enter the hotel and are drawn into the lounge by the green wall and skylight at the reception. As one moves vertically up the building, they will notice the palette gradually becoming lighter, cooler, and fresher in the ballrooms, prefunction spaces, terrace, spa, business lounge, and guestrooms.
The hotelier requested to reinvent the aesthetics of their brand to align with today’s youth. Finishes such as metal sandblasted brick, oil rubbed bronze, scraped fumed oak floors, linen curtains and textured plaster were used to create a moodier and modern look.

Role: Led interior design team to space plan, conceptualize, design, render and produce drawing sets. Presented to clients and operators, coordinated with all trades, and assisted in the construction administration. Collaborated with artists and craftsmen.
